TimeOut NY
“This rising local star is a thinking person’s comic. You’ll have to pay close attention to keep up, but don’t worry, you’ll want to.”

CityPaper Philadelphia
“Every year, Last Comic Standing producers manage to smuggle one or
two comedians who are actually hilarious onto a major network reality
show…This past year, it was Myq (pronounced Mike) Kaplan, who
represented hilarious, gimmick-free, non-demographical joke telling.
And he finished fifth — which is about as well as genuinely funny,
original comedians can usually hope to do on the show.”

Friendly Atheist
“He’s clearly a gifted comedy writer who has a very unique way with words.”

Cliqueclack
“The best thing about him though is that I never knew where he was going to lead us… Kaplan was like a boxer, constantly ducking and weaving and then hitting us with something that we didn’t see coming. (Beyond that though, he accomplished the impossible: he talked about being a vegan without making me want to punch him in the face.)”

Punchline Magazine again
“…lightning fast mind…”

Dead-Frog (at Just For Laughs in Montreal)
“Later at New Faces 1, first-up Myq Kaplan stole the show early with fast-paced language-play that tackled religion, technology, the dubious legacy of ‘Final Destination’ and begged for repeat listens.”

The Somerville News
“Myq Kaplan, a fresh-faced, wisecracking Boston University undergrad, had a subversive, cerebral wit that poked fun at popularly accepted notions.”–Doug Holder

Brown Daily Jolt
“Myq is one of the wittiest and most wry comedians around.”–Toby Muresianu

Daily Free Press
“…one of the most intelligent and high-brow comedians in the Boston scene…”–Dan Klein

www.seattlecomedy.net
“Myq is a small man with a big creative talent for taking a simple idea and spinning into a wonderfully funny and complicated mess. This is a compliment…He’s got the right combination of edge, confidence and vulnerability–and he uses that to get across some excellent material.”
–Peter Greyy

Ipswich Rotary Calendar
“…will make your stomach hurt from laughter.”
–Ipswich Rotary Calendar
